Winchester U.S. "Trench" Shotgun             PRICE:  $3,650
Probably the most popular of all the military shotguns, the Model 12 Winchester has seen duty with U.S. Armed Forces since World War II until the present.  This gun, serial number 1015611, was made in 1943 (barrel date) and still retains 90% of its original blue finish.  The butt stock was replaced during the Korean War and bears the proper "DOD" stamp and the "P" proof stamp, in addition to the "RROD" arsenal mark.  This gun has obviously seen lots of service, but is still in perfect mechanical condition and has a bright, excellent bore.  In all, a very nice desirable "trench" shotgun.

Captain Charles Swiift's Colt 1860 Army, Cal. .44            PRICE:  $3,450
Charles Swift was born in England in 1837, enlisted in the Union Army in August 1862 and was commissioned a 1st Lieutenant five days later into Company "H", 52nd Ohio Infantry.  He was promoted to Captain in December 1862, and as a memer of the 3rd brigade, 2nd Division, he saw action in several of the western campaigns, most notably the Battle of Perryville, in south central Kentucky.  His Colt revolver, serial number 100,486 was made in early 1863, so he acquired it a few months after his promotion,  It remains today in good, origianl condition with all matching serial numbers.  It is very unusual and desirable to know the particular history of a Civil War gun and who actually carried it.

Winchester Model 54, Cal. .30 WCF            PRICE:  $1,250
Manufactured in 1927, this early Winchester Model 54 rifle is chambered in .30 WCF, or 30-30 caliber.  While this was a very popular caliber in lever action rifles and carbines at the time, it is seldom found in a bolt action rifle, and is considered a very rare chambering.  In addition to the express rear sight on the barrel, it has the proper Lyman #57 WJS receiver sight.  Both the upper front and rear of receiver are tapped for scope mounts, the latter being non-factory original.  Overall, the exterior finish is 90% original, showing only normal wear from use, but no neglect or abuse.  The stock finish is also factory original and the checkering is excellent.  The bore is crisp and sharp. Overall, a very nice gun in a scarce caliber, and almost 86 years old.

Colt 1975 Peacemaker Centennial Cased Set, Cal. .44/40  & .45 Long Colt                PRICE:  $3,750
In 1975, Colt Manufacturing Company, brought out this Commemorative pair of Single Action Armys to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of its most famous product.  One gun is an exact copy of the .45 caliber United States Cavalry model of the Indian War fame, and the other is a nickel plated version of the famous .44/40 "Peacemaker".  Of the 2000 sets manufactured, only the first 500 were cased in the same presentation case, the others being offered in separate boxes.  This pair is serial numbered  "152" (one is MPC152 and the other is 152MPC).  The guns are exact replica's of the originals, and are 2nd generation Colt Single Actions.  They are of course unfired and are in "as issued" condition.  The .45 Cavalry model is fully inspected and stamped "US" on the frame, while the .44/40 Civilian model has the etched panel, "COLT FRONTIER SIX-SHOOTER" on the barrel.  In that caliber (.44/40), it was destined to become a companion piece to the famous Winchester Model 1873, since it could use the same ammunition.  Today, the Colt Single Action is the most collected handgun in the world, and is still being manufactured after 137 years.

Colt 1878 Phillippine ''US''  45 LC        PRICE $2,500.00
Sometimes called the Model of 1902, these large trigger-guard, double action 45 revolvers, were sold on contract to the US Ordinance during the Spanish American War. Approximately 4600 were manufactured with 6” barrels and lanyard swivels. While concrete evidence is elusive, it is generally thought that the large trigger-guards were designed to allow a two finger pull on the somewhat stiff double action trigger. This gun retains 85% of its original bright blue, excellent grips and a perfect bore. These were the last of the side loader/ejector revolvers to be purchased by the government, soon to be replaced by the hand ejector models, and as such, a must for every “US” Collector.
